August trip to the Boston Aquarium

On Sunday we decided to take the kids to the Boston Aquarium. The kids had a blast as you can tell from the pictures! There were lots of penguins to see and Steven loved being right up on the big tank that takes up the middle of the building. Evie and Steven saw huge sea turtles, sharks, sea dragons, sea horses, jellyfish, flashlight fish, harbor seals and so much more. They're absolute favorite place was the touch tank. It was artificial rock made to look like a stream and inside they could hold and touch sea stars, spider crabs, hermit crabs, horshoe crabs, sea urchins, snails, anemone, muscles, oysters, and more! Evie loved it. The only bad part was it was about 100 degrees that day and either they keep the building warm for the animals or their air condition wasn't working as it was HOT and very uncomfortable. The kids didn't seem to notice though. It certainly was a way of finding out how well the kids ride in the care for long trips. Steven does not like having to be strapped in for long periods of time. May make out December trip down south a bit difficult. I'm thinking we might be better off flying, but we'll see.
The one picture of Steven on the bench was just priceless. I asked him to look at me and say cheese and he bent down, put his hands on his legs and posed for me. It was adorable. I'm also posting a pic of our newest family member, Sully. Have fun looking!
