Wilson Family Updates

Wow I have been remiss in keeping this updated! Looks like I need to get some new pictures up here! These are all of Evie, except for the one of our newest cat Percy. Apparently I haven't downloaded any of the most recent pics of Steven in a while and need to do that! The pic of Evie with the Pomeranian was a rescue dog I did a free groom on. She was adopted! The pic of Evie with all the kids around her is from her winter school concert where she sang holiday songs. I caught this picture as she was heading back to her classroom.

Ahh, Lake George! We took the kids to Million Dollar Beach a few times this summer. The first pics of the kids in the water, where you can see sand, is lake George. It is the cleanest lake in the country and is always a beautiful spot to spend the day. We brought a picnic and sat on the beach watching the seagulls. On our one trip a few ducks were brave enough to walk over to our towels and eat out of my hand. Steven slept through that though.

The last set of pictures with all the rocks in North Hero in Vermont. I spent my childhood summers there when my grandfather owned a camp. It's on Lake Champlain and also a beautiful place, though very different. It's a rock beach, but with water shoes Evie still had a blast. Steven is not the biggest fan of the water, but Evie is part fish. Speaking of fish we all had lots of luck fishing off the dock and caught a lot of Perch and Bass. Not a single sunfish which surprised me. That's all I ever caught there as a kid. Our purpose of our Noth Hero trip was dual. Not only for a vacation and for the kids to see where I had so many great childhood memories, but to scatter part of my mom's ashes as she loved it there too. We had great weather until the morning we left, we had huge fires in the firepit every night and the kids made smores, saw frogs, toads, and even a baby bird. Ken got out of the shower to find a frog on the bath rug! All of the kids had a blast, but Steven was ready to go home after a couple hours. I guess he's more of a home body. I even broke my own rule and included a picture with ME in it, in a bathing suit no less :) Enjoy!

Our Trip to Maine-June 2008

We took a quick trip to Maine to meet up with some friends we haven't seen since Evie was 2 months! They drove up from Georgia and we of course drove from NY. We stopped in VT to take the Ben & Jerry's tour, which was NOT worth the hour detour by the way, and then headed to Maine. We stayed in a beautiful suite at a place called Village By the Sea. It is privately owned condos that they rent out when the owners are not using them. Ours was beautiful with a great view of the marsh. We of course saw the ocean, a few lighthouses, beaches, and a dry docked submarine! The kids played miniature golf and went swimming in a very unique pool! It was at the condos and contained salt water! We also went shopping at the Kittering Outlet Center and I bought Evie and Steven some great new clothes at the Gymboree outlet store. Enjoy the pics. I HAD to take pictures of the suite we had! I was amazed. I thought I booked a 1 bed, 1 bath suite and we had a 2 bedroom, 2 FULL bath suite with a washer and dryer. We came home with no dirty laundry! I did not want to leave! We had more room there then at home. The kids had a great time. Evie cried when we left and can't wait to go on "Cation" (as she calls it) again.

The pics got a bit out of order when loading and I can't seem to move them around easily so I apoligize for the jumble. The 8th pic down is the view of the marsh we had from the balcony of our suite!

Steven's second birthday!

His party was, if you couldn't guess, a Spiderman party! He had lots of fun and was very tuckered out after it was all over. We had it on our church gym which is wonderful for us. Lots of open space, the kids have tons of room to run and play and the adults don't have to worry about not being able to see the kids or them crashing into one another! One of Steven's toys was a Spiderman "battle station" type toy. It has an air pump that works an elevator, foam rocket launcher AND pushes Spidey down a slide! Ken could not WAIT to get home and put it together. I think he played with it more than Steven did that night. We have so many new toys now we're going to have to get rid of a lot of the older, outgrown items. Gives me an excuse to clean house! Not that I need one, but it's a good motivator! Enjoy the pictures!

I made the cake and used the Wilton cake tinting. Apparently I used a bit too much for the blue as everyone who ate the cake had blue teeth for a while!

January 2008

I realized all of the pictures of Steven were before his hair cut! He looks so cute with his hair now. It took some time for me to get used to him looking so grown up, but now I really like it.
