December 13, 2006

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted. I am putting one picture up that I took with the kids all dressed up in their Christmas outfits. This one was too funny because Steven looks like he's had one too many, especially with his little tie askew! Every year I always buy Evie a special dress for the holidays. I remember as a kid we always got a special outfit for Christmas, though ours we opened on Christmas day. I usually like to have holiday pictures taken with the kids wearing them. This year we haven't had the family portrait taken yet and I don't think we will get to it before the holiday. With my boss out for the next few weeks and me working almost full time for a while I'm having trouble squeezing in everything I want to do.
I think the kids will have a wonderful Christmas this year. I know Evie is getting quite a lot in the toy department, but better yet she's in the church Christmas play and will be a lamb! I can't wait to see her all dressed up. On Sunday during the childrens message the speaker was talking about lighting the advent candles and Jesus' birthday and Evie heard that and jumped right in talking about hitting a pinata, how she ate her cake, opening her presents and more. She wouldn't let anyone else get a word in! It was so cute. She still talks about the pinata she had at her birthday party.
Steven has a second tooth on the bottom now. He's trying to walk without holding onto things but he has yet to be successful. He's such a daredevil! He's into everything and loves crawling through the kitchen. He has discovered the dog dishes so I have to be careful. I thought by closing the french door from the foyer to the kitchen I had outsmarted him but no, he realized pretty quickly he could get to the kitchen through the dining room!
I will post more pictures after the holidays. I will try to get some of Evie in her lamb costume!
